Custom pistol grip stock for the large frame Remington rolling block rifle. These stocks are 90% profiled blanks turned by Treebone Carving from a pattern created by Gunsmith Curt Hardcastle. For an example of a completed pistol grip rolling block rifle using this pattern see our Gallery Page.  We have these blanks in Black, Claro, and English Walnut all fancy figured wood. Custom stock set for a large frame sporting model. The Mid-Range set is 90% profiled for full width military upper and lower tangs, has a higher comb line than the original rolling block stocks to accommodate long range shooting, and has been left flat at the butt for the installation of shotgun style butt plate or recoil pad of your choice. Prices vary by color  and figure of the wood. These stock sets are turned by George Peterson of Treebone Carving. For more information on Treebone see Treebonecarving.com.

This stock set is a 90% turned pattern for the original Sporting Model.  The butt is inlet for the Remington Sporting Model butt plate. The Forend is inlet for the original metal style tip. The stocks are well laid out straight grain black walnut. We have these for those who need to restore #1 rifles in the factory original pattern. This include the narrower tangs with the longer lower tang. We can also provide the Butt Plate and Forend Tip castings.

Custom precarved stock set for #2 sporting rifle. This butt stock has an added cheek piece with longer length of pull. Butt stock has been carved to allow use of shotgun butt recoil pad or may be fitted to your own style butt plate. This is a 90% profiled stock set . the forend is cut for a tapered octagon barrel.

Factory pattern stock set for the late #2 model sporting rifle.  The late variation has a Schnabel forend as opposed to the metal tip. These 90% profiled sets are Black, Claro, or English walnut with excellent layout. If you want the early style pattern the appropriate metal tip can be inlet into the forend. Price varies for figure and color.

SB 1871

90% profiled walnut stock blank for the 1871 Army Springfield contract rifle. This model has the rear sling swivel in the trigger guard so no inlet in the bottom of the blank for the swivel base. The pattern was marked for both the 1871 and New York State Contract. While both rifles use the same butt stock configuration I am not certain the butt plates are identical.
